Yellow RS are perfect foundations, which are 100% breeding ability. Red RS are experfs, which are 105% breeding ability.

101% breeding ability counts as red/B, though.

So in short, yes. If you just want the paper to say red, a one percent boost will do it. However, if you want them to be the same ability/quality as one that naturally comes red, you'll need a 5% boost.

Can I add boosts after I put on the special genes? By the way love your macchio.

Yes, he was boosted after I did all the other gene stuff. As long as they are unbred.

@Lallyhop - Do you know if the 4 year old limit still applies to boosts or has the age cap been lifted for those too like the other GMTs?

Actually, I just checked and the oldest horses in the drop down box are 4, so the age limit does still apply for boosting.
