I was breeding a few mares from my satin line today and got a real surprise when this hom KP filly showed up! I bred both her parents and had no idea at all either were KP carriers, in fact, no horses on at least the first page of her pedigree are hom KP or even noted as KP carriers that I can see. The KP has been passed secretly down for a few generations at least before showing up here haha. A lovely surprise :)

I just found out my Silver Bells stud (deceased) had KP, too! I had no idea. XD If you've got descendants of his, be aware. :D

@SilverAleki She descends from a Dark Star line on her sires sire side and Dark Sun Rising had KP :) Always fun to find out that it is still in the line! Took a closer look and looks like all sides of her family descend from Dark Sun Rising

@CeffylDwr thank you for finding that for me! I’m amazed the KP has continued, mostly in its Het form, for so far in the line before showing up again here just purely by luck haha!

@SilverAleki Happy to look and see! I'm excited cause I own her grandsire so I marked him as possibly het kp... going have to do some test breeding to see if it came from him :)

@CeffylDwr Good luck! I'll be very interested to see if it came from your boy too. I'll have to check back in on him after you've done some testing to see what you find :D
