Pretty new here in terms of actual playing hours. Haven't figure out what horses I breed yet, and am only now figuring out gens... anyways, I rolled a Catch a Blue Moon HH the other day and fell in love with the mare I created. I used the second create to make a colt and I've been planning to breed them. Well, today I rolled it AGAIN and I was elated. Now I can have TWO sets of 1G parents. This was becoming an actual line. Well, as I went to make my second colt I glanced at the HH description. There were a lot of scary looking white genes there. I checked the lethality charts and sure enough. No way any foals would make it out alive. Welp, the horses will be pretty in my barn even if I can't breed them.

You can always try to catch the True Breeding Blue Roan, Blue Roan Appaloosa, and Blue Roan herd helpers. It’s not exactly what you wanted, but they will help with a similar look without the lethality risk.

Actually since the mare isn’t homo frame or w2 there’s still a 50% possibility of not passing those on.

If the stud has matching genes for each set of genes (frame OR w2) there’s:

25% chance inheriting both copies (OlwOlw or W2w2)(lethal)
50% chance het(OlwO or W2kitr)(carrier but not lethal)
25% chance no inheritance. (OO or rr)(not a carrier not lethal)

While breeding 2 frames together is risky it’s not a sure fire lethal foal but as fallen said look for some blue roan Herd helpers that will compliment the catch a blue moon horses and stick to keeping the frame only on the stud or mares not both of your really worried about loosing foals.

Like Bandit says - keep the lethal genes to one gender only and you’ll be all clear. :D
