She's a Bay, but I'm wondering why she is that dark.
Is it just the double sooty?

It's probably the sooty, but I'd also check your display - on my phone she looks like a regular darkish red-bay.

Yeah, that was my fault. I forgot I had my phone light as dim as possible, and could barely see the red coloring. =))

Yeah, he is far from black, but he also has a copy of DP, so that is darkening his coat further than just StySty :)

Ah-hah! I'm rubbish at spotting DP in bays, but you're right, @Maribo, that Freaky pedigree leaves no other option.
