I just started working on my freaky Friday and I am trying to decide whether to put tobiano on him or if I should put Appaloosa. What do you guys think?

I'm a fan of the Apploosas (but do love Tobianos!). One factor I wanted to point out that might help you with your decision is the varnishing many appaloosas go through. Many will lighten and fade to white as they age - though the speed and degree to which they do varies. Many (like myself) like that dynamic and the changing shades. For instance, this fellow is only 11 and is almost completely white:

So, if you'd disappointed to see that lovely pearl liver coat fade to white over time, you may want to go with tobiano!

I agree with Waldgraf. If you like how the appaloosa changed their coat then go with that. If not then put tobiano on. He would look lovely with either one.

I decided to add appaloosa but his coat was hardly showing save a poor little ole spot so I also added ECA3P PATN1 to increase his marks.
I’m not finished gmting him so I might also add tobiano or make him Hom Llp or maybe even add another PATN1

I might sell straws from him when he is older so What else would make him better

The gmt count is now at 6

I personally would take off one, if not both frame - if you like the gene, it’s easier to keep it to your mares and not your studs. It makes breeding a lot smoother. If you really love it and want a lot, though, you might make him het and just have a future colt not have it in order to breed to the fillies or something of the sort.
