I just bought that upgrade but it does not show I have it only basic how do I cancel the basic account for premium?

On the mobile version the manage upgrades link is on the member home page down towards the bottom of the page. Once you click manage upgrades link there will be a list of your upgrades click deactivate on the basic upgrade then activate the premium one.

I think that the basic upgrade pauses... but i'm not sure.

Yes, if you deactive one account using the Manage Upgrades page, you will keep both accounts but only one will be running.

I have had an unactivated Basic Account in case of an unexpected hitch in my PayPal account and the active Premium Account for real-life years now.
