So I’m slightly let down by my Freaky Friday create after all the hype about them over the few months I’ve been playing.

This is the colt in question

Now I am not a big fan of frame and try not to let it in my herd anywhere so I had plans to save up those $$ to GMT it off. What I didn’t count on was ending up with a black as opposed to a liver.
Being a relatively new player, I’ve got no experience with gene modifying so I’m uncertain how it all works. In the list of mods and their costs, is it 1 token to change Olw to O or the other way around?

If I keep this guy, I’m already looking at 500k minimum to completely remove frame. If I were to change him into a liver, is that another 2 GMT tokens; one for each dominant E? Or does it work as a whole and you only need one to change EE to ee?

I suppose what I really want to know is whether it’s worth all the GMT tokens just to end up with a hom DP liver foundation or should I sell my Freaky Friday and put that towards the cost of 10 tokens to put an extra DP on a future create? Should I compromise and see if I can trade him for a GMTable liver FF that I’ll just have to cut the frame off? If I were to just sell, what is the going price? Hidden Gates we’re selling for a fortune when they came out and tbh I preferred them xD

You will need to take both Es off to make him liver. If you want frame off too then you are looking at 4GMTs.
I will give you 160k for him if you are looking to sell :)

I would sell him on if it’s not what you breed for...for the price you might as well go through the “Dark Chestnut” HH and take your chances there lol
In saying that, the cost to put Double DP on a Stallion (if you really need another Stallion) out ways the cost of taking the black and frame off your boy.
I haven’t seen so many black FF’s before. I swear the past few have majority been livers. I too got a black girl. My other account got a Red Roan black liver.... of course on the account I don’t use a lot.

It’s all the luck of the roll....There will always be people who will buy your boy and turn him into their gmt project...so if you need the money...take the money ;)

If you like DP it's worth it, as it would be 20 gmt's to make your own homozygous DP foundation, 4 gmt's is heaps less! You can get DP in normal creates occasionally though. Maybe try and swap with someone that prefers a black?

It looks like selling him on might be the best thing. I really liked the idea of having a hom DP liver stud to breed my foundation liver mares to, so maybe I’ll just have to let other people do the GMT stuff and pay for straws if they become available. For the cost of a 60-stall barn per GMT token, maybe it’s for the best and I can get back to breeding and hoarding :))
