Who Might You Lose This Year?
  • I don't have anyone old enough to age this year, but I am holding onto a stud for someone. He's an 18 year old Perfect Foundation, and he might die on rollover at the end of the month. He's already survived one rollover. Who are you worried you'll lose this year? :)
  • My oldest stallions are 12 so I'm not to worried about them but I have a mare that I really would hate to loose and I hope she can hang in there for at least a couple more season.

  • I hope so. :) At least she's a rank special, so she could be replaced, theoretically. :D
  • I think (someone please confirm) that they all survive to 17, so you will get at least 1 more season from her.
  • Technically she could be replaced but I've really fallen in love with her. I love her dappling. I don't know if they live up to 17 or if 17 is the year you could loose them. I would still like to get a couple more foals out of her.
  • I'm not even going to try to guess. I have 251 horses 17 years old and older and about 38 of them are 19+.

And yes, as Cheers has said, they all survive turning 17. It's only with their 18th birthday that they are in danger of passing out of the game from old age.

  • Oh yes, I missed that, thanks, Cheers. :P
    That's a lot, SandyCreek!
  • It certainly is. More than 10% of my 2262 horses. Of course, quite a few of them will manage to survive. The oldest of them is 23.

  • I wish the Archive kept track of how old a horse was when it died. I'd like to see how long a horse can last in this game. :P
  • The oldest I've seen was 24.
  • About half of my liver foundations :(

Currently the oldest horse in HaJ2, I believe. He is 27

One of 2 25 year olds in HaJ1. The ones that came up older than that were all in the archive.

I remember one Palomino Roan Dun that kept showing up on the log in page for HaJ1 who lived to be 31. It got so that we recognized him on sight. He was part of the game for 4 real-life years!

  • I have 6 who are 24, but they are my oldest.

  • I also have one stallion in his 20's, Lyrical Poet. Poet was Abbey bred. I can't breed him anymore, but have a few straws from him. Every time rollover comes around, he is still there. I just hang onto him for sentimental reasons. He doesn't make me points showing anymore either.

I was kind of shocked that I lost one of my favorite foundation stallions, Nottingham, last season, he aged out at 17 years. He is 18 in The Archive though.

Nottingham and another foundation stallion, Sizzlin Toad, were the same age. I pulled straws from both last season. I am worried I am going to lose Toad this season. I have had lots of members breed to him, as well as myself.

  • Can i get straws from lyrical nottingham and toad?

  • Sure Baya. Toad is not a problem, I can pull them now. Lyrical isn't coming up anymore to pull from. I will have to see how many I have. The same with Nottingham.

EDIT: Baya, I can sell you 1 straw from Lyrical, and as many as you want to buy from Toad. I only have 1 left from Nottingham, and have plans for that straw. PM me with how many you want to Toad, and if you want to buy 1 from Lyrical. I saw your other post on pairings, and that you didn't have very many 2g mares to go with your 2g stallions. Lyrical is a 2g.

  • Awwwww *hugs Poet* He was my second A papered 2nd gen, I was super excited about him and Cosmos. I'm so glad he's had a good home with you Paints.
  • Thanks Abbey! I just love him, I can't send him to the yum yum, he will hang around in my barn checking out his sons and daughters until he passes.

  • Awww I'm so sorry Ritsika, cyber hug. What a pretty baby.
  • I wasn't expecting it because none of my home bred horses are anywhere near old enough. I forgot that some of the horses gifted to me were of an older age. I appreciate the sympathy.
  • I'm sorry Rits!
  • Good news, Toad is still with me. Yay... It will be a day or two before I can put him up to the public. No Internet until I get moved. My phone is too tiny for anything g except the forum.
