If you click on one of the SP is should show at the top of the page what splash genes can be edited :)

Yes, Haltanny and ParadisePark have given you good advice. The way the GM Lab works is that it lists what genes the horse you wish to enhance currently has. Then you click the button for the gene you want to change and the options will appear.

The gene from the sire is on the left and the gene from the dam is on the right. This is more important if you're trying to give a foal a gene that it missed from either its sire or its dam. However, unless there's a special sale going on in the lab, as there is now, some of the limited edition genes and all of the closed genes will not be available for adding to a foal who missed one.
