Is it possible to bred a draft out of two warmbloods? I bred my warmblood mare Vault of Quivers to my warmblood stallion Midnight Misty to get a draft filly. I am just very confused.
-
Yes, because the Draft threshold is at the bone weight of 2.50. :) What were the bone weights of the parents and the filly? :)
-
Yes, just like you can get different height 'breeds' you can get different weights.
I have a Sport Pony stud that has thrown almost every type depending on the mare he is bred to. My stud is actually from 2 Warmblood parents and is only 0.1 under the Horse height.
Edit: Actually I just checked his foal list and he has produced at least 1 foal of every type: Riding Pony, Sport Pony, Cob, Riding Horse, Warmblood and Draft. -
Ooh... How do you check a foal list?
-
The stud's bd is 2.46 and the mare's is 2.16. I think it was just luck of the draw.

WhiteMountain - just go to the stallions 'family' tab and then scroll down below the picture pedigree and click "Foals of ______________"
