Somehow I managed to make my first brand with a clear background about a year ago, but it doesn't show up on darker horses so I'm trying to make a white version...but I can't figure out how to make the background transparent using Microsoft Paint! I've tried 'deleting' and erasing but it hasn't worked. Anyone know how?

I know you can save a GIF with a transparent background using Photoshop, or at least you could at one time. I have no idea if Microsoft Paint in its current form will allow for making transparent backgrounds in any format, especially PNG, which is not a form I've ever used much at all.

Here's a link to a Google Search for Instructions for Microsoft Paint 3D, which is what I have on my Window's 10 computer. You might find something about making 2D images with transparent backgrounds there.

You might try piskelapp.com (I think I got that right) to make it. It’s what I’ve been using and it’s a super easy website to work with.

Is there a website that tells how to make tattoos? I have tried looking at the different programs and instructions but I find it hard to understand them. Thanks.

Start with what program you have access too/want to use. Using graphic software is different for every different one.

I downloaded a program called GIMP to make my tattoos with. It's free and works really well. :)

I use GIMP as well and find it to be easy to use and versatile, especially for a free program.

I own photoshop so I can make transparent images. Could you send me what you want and I can send the transparent version back for you?

Hey everyone! I am jumping on this post too! I am having the same problem making the background transparent.
Here is a list of what i have used.
Piskelapp.com
PhotoshopMix App
PixelArt App
BG Eraser Ap
Phonto App
A plain Eraser App
ProKnockout App

I am also doing this on an iPhone 5. I could get it down to a 25 x 25, could get it saved in a PNG format and successfully uploaded on here, but both times I have tried they show up white backgrounds.

Can anyone help?

10 hours and 20 different apps later and I finally got a tiny brand transparent! Here is one of my horses sporting it! I’m very proud!

Piskelapp worked fine for me, as it does do a transparent background, but you have to use the "export as png" option for it to keep it that way. Otherwise it tries to make an animation, I believe. :)
