Grullo
-
Is plain Grullo a HH or is it just a chance under Dun like Liver is under Dark Chestnut? I know Grullo Splash/Rabicano/Roan are all HH.
-
Liver stems from the fact that every horse created has a chance to get dp. If a horse has at least 3 darkening genes (of which Sooty and dp are the ones) and are ee, they are a liver/chocolate palomino. Which means that people just have a better chance of getting a liver while using a chestnut HH that guarantees homozygous sooty.
I'm not quite sure if grullo itself is a HH. You could probably try a dun or a black HH to get the colour if you don't want any patterns or what not on it.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

On the look out for pointed creates -
Its mostly because breeding my Smokey Grullos have been throwing Creme Dun's for me...and that's not what i'm looking for.

I know there's a Silver Grullo, which I think looks quite nice. A chance for dapples with the silver gene!Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
