I don't think anyone knows, as I've seen it done multiple ways and it never seems to work! That is, unless it's still notifying them behind the scenes despite not linking to their member page.

I'm sure you've seen it in the forum: someone tries to @ someone, but that someone has a space in their username, like MoonAcre Stables in this discussion: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/forum/discussion/58914/intact-oceans-red-papered-filly-for-auction#Item_17 or Flying Stunner in this discussion: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/forum/discussion/58711/bluevalley-babies-for-sale-make-offers#Item_6

The link to these profiles is broken - if you click on the @, it doesn't take you to their page, where it does work if the name of any other member is used (and correctly spelled). Neither a space nor an underscore seems to work.

@Flying Stunner

etc.

My question, I suppose: does anyone know how to properly @ these people who have spaces in their names?

You can't. I had to switch mine to ConfluenceFarms so I could get the notifications. If they want to change their user names they can, but otherwise it won't work.

I never get the notifications anyway LOL! How do you get them, does it go to email?

@kintara - if you click on your name in the blue bar where it says
"Discussions | Activity | Inbox | Lallyhop | Mark All Viewed"
then under your name there should be a list of what discussions you've commented on and what comments of yours people have clicked "thank" on, etc.
In the notifications section, it will say "Lallyhop mentioned you in a comment" etc.

It does send you a notice to your e mail, as well. That way, if you want, you can have your email notify you whenever someone uses the @xxxxx. That is why we don't encourage people to @ at Ammit unless there is something seriously wrong with the game.
