It's the end of the month and some players are clearing out thier older show stock with a lot of points.
To work out what they would add to your daily show bonus follow this formula

Points Total x 0.75 ÷ 7

Example :
Horse has 1000 points.

1000 x 0.75 = 750
750 ÷ 7 = 107hbs a day.
Or 3,214 hbs in a month

So the risk may pay off to grab a few older ponies from the auction or sales board!
How much you pay for the horse is up to you Just remember to calculate how much they will add to your bonus :D

To get it by how many days are left, take the final number (eg 107 hbs a day) and times that by how many days are left.

Thanks so much PP - I would hate for newbies to buy these extremely expensive horses that are being posted at the moment! :)

Yes sometimes worth it - but they may die at any time after 17 years old - so look carefully before buying. There are horses up for sale who could age out tomorrow up for 30-50k - not a good idea to buy these :)

Good point @Dinascar I have watched the sales boards on a daily basis since I started almost 2 months ago and it's fascinating to watch the ebb and flow and "trends" on what is posted and at what prices (I love watching the free market at work). This month ton of rank specials have been sitting there (mostly priced fairly approriately) which seems to have influenced over-pricing of normal stock--maybe newer players not realizing the others are RS and setting prices in relation? The deathbed seniors for a premium are an "interesting" twist. Much more realistic deals to be had of late at auction and forum sales!

@dinascar since the comp is still going that may be hoping players that are entered will buy them. But I agree I would hate for new players to get them :)

Tomorrow's auction takes place on the 1st though -- it's the perfect time to do a little math on those older horses and see if they might be a worthwhile investment, since they'll have a full month to contribute to your daily show bonus. :D

There may be quite a few horses in there tomorrow as contest accounts sort out barns. Worth looking.

I put a bunch of former breeding mares in the auction. These mares are fully trained, but have spent most of their lives in the pasture. They have low points now, but I have no doubt there are some diamonds in the rough in there, who are showing in a good place and will rack up points quickly. They could be a good buy for someone willing to do the digging to find out which ones are showing well.
