Let's have some fun. First person to post what color/patterns the horse whose gene test I put here will get a straw from the stallion the test belongs to. You're going for close to what the horse's color name says when tested, but word order doesn't matter, and if it's carrying something that won't show up in the color name (satin, for example), feel free to say so in the color for bonus credit. I'll do a few of these.

Example:

EE aa CprlC Dd gg Ff SS PP zZ Kitsb2Kit WF: Large
This horse would be black-based, carrying dun, silver, and sabino. So, Silver Grullo Sabino (carrying pearl too, if you want to say so).

If you can't use straws or the generation of the horse in question, we'll find another way to reward you.

Your turn! The difficulty will increase as this goes on, and the stallions will have niftier genes.

Flaxen Chestnut Sabino, but it's possibly liver. I'm not sure I can use straws. :P

Yep! And he is liver, though you can't tell from gene testing. Now you have someone to breed your liver girls to... he's up for live cover for 1 hb for you temporarily, Rose. Maybe you can get a black chestnut out of one of those liver girls you posted :)

Silver Bay Dun Appaloosa (Pearl Carrier) is my guess.

Possibly Varnish or not, I don't think that shows up in the test results now does it?

Next person to post can win my breeding. I can't use straws or breed to Abbeys studs since I am not upgraded and our accounts are linked. Just thought it would be fun to play. :)

Actually Baya, for flaxen to show it has to be ff, not FF, it's like Satin, where it is not dominate, so it uses the lower case letters.

A horse has to be black based to actually show any of a bay color. This one is red based. :)

Actually a horse would be bay based in order to show bay. :D

A horse with dominant extension E produces both red and black pigment. Recessive extension can only produce red pigment. Dominant E allows the black to "extend" onto the hair shafts, hence the name. That's why a red horse can have dominant A bay agouti but still appear red as it has no black pigment to work with. Also why a horse can be "homozygous black" but looks bay (ie has a red appearance to the coat) due to a dominant A which controls the distribution of the black pigment to the points. :D

Also, a thing to note, if Style Points did have Extension (E_), he'd be bay instead of brown, because his A would cover up his At.

Yes. While he carries pangare (someone correct me if I'm wrong here), it's recessive and he's heterozygous so it won't show... I'm pretty sure. It doesn't show that well on champagnes as far as I can tell, anyway.

He's super shiny though. :)
