Yes, you can purchase watercolor for her, since she's 4 and unbred.

There is no difference in phenotype for watercolor, one copy vs two copies look the exact same. The only difference is you have a 50% chance her foals will have watercolor if she has one copy, and 100% chance her foals will have watercolor if she has two copies.

Also, the exact colors that show up with the gene are completely random, so if you want a different look than you get first time around (when you purchase the gene or when you're breeding foals), you can always reroll the horse looking for something you like.
