I've been informed that in the excitement of discovering this site, my family made a very bad error in reading comprehension. We thought that three free accounts were allowed per email but now have been corrected that it is per household.

My girlfriend and some of our various and assorted kids have six players in the house. Ammit said that it may be possible that since some have real world money invested, those might not be counted as 'free', even though the purchases were not account upgrades.

Can anyone tell me who the mods are other than Very Busy Ammit? Any experience, advice, links to information?

Please help. I've already been through wiping away tears over accidental clicks and nasty messages, I can't face the horror of telling a kid they have to quit playing.

I told you they were fine. :) Stop panicking, nothing is happening this second. ;) When I have the chance to do a full audit of your accounts and figure out if you have any that are an issue I promise I will let you know. No one has ever had your situation before. No accounts are getting closed until I talk to you. It will be fine I promise. Deep breath.

If you have premium accounts, you can have as many as you want, as long as free accounts are three or fewer. If three of the family are upgraded and half are not, that can lead to some slight cheating like premium accounts sending other accounts' horses through testing, when that's against the rules.
Another option is to consolidate accounts into others and have your kids share, although that can get messy. They could leave notes for each other on the main page so they don't accidentally breed the wrong pairs or alter anyone mistakenly.

It's too bad to hear your kids have had bad messages. I hope they're okay and this all gets sorted out without too much hassle. :)

I did find the option to merge accounts and can come up with the money to buy the needed hb, if that means no tears, but when I click the button to select an account, none of the kids' player names come up.

I think they have to be on the same email first. :)

The kids are supposed to all use one dedicated email account for their games. Maybe that's where we need to look.

It won't be handled till tomorrow probably and nothing can speed that up. I am doubtful there will be closures based on what you said. But I have to wait until I have a chance to do the audit. I have to get the pasture updates finished today.

There's a place for notes?

Under "Member Home". Scroll down, and there's a box that is titled "Personal Notes"

Notes are for upgraded players. They don’t show on free accounts.
