What do you guys think should I add another Llp to this guy. I'm torn I want to breed for Hom Appaloosas but i kinda like the way he looks.

Well, if you breed another appy to him, the foal will have a better chance of getting Lp at all, let alone Homozygous, but if you breed a Homozygous stud from him, then you'll have a certain type of breeding heterozygous mares from his son. He does looks cool. :D I'd say go ahead, breed some appies to him, and then you'll get some het appies and some hom appies and hopefully no plain ones but hey. Could still happen. :DThanked by 1lostcause

I wouldn’t make him Hom LP, the ice genes won’t show on his coat anymore. If that doesn’t matter, you just want the ice so it will pass on, I say go for it. You will be guaranteed all foals will be appys if he’s a Hom LP, but some will be few spot if you breed to other appys.Thanked by 1lostcause

Not true. He will just lose his spots in his blanket.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

Two things I do before I GMT is 1) consider how the genes will affect foals and 2) search for horses that have the similar/same genes so I can get a bit of a preview. RoseFlute covered possible foals, so here is a similar horse.
