Color of offspring from DP Buckskin x Liver Chestnut

    Just curious what the possible foal color could be. Anyone have some examples?

    Depending on the alleles of the parents you could get buckskin, black, bay, chestnut or palomino. May or may not have DP again depending on the parent's alleles. A chestnut or palomino horse with at least 3 darkening genes (Sty Sty DP or Sty DP DP) will be chocolate or liver, black, bay or buckskin horses won't have an alternative colour name if they have DP.
    These are a few examples of my Buckskin DP horses :)

    Hom sooty, definitely at least het DP but might also be hom DP. Hasn't had enough chestnut foals for me to say one way or another just yet.
