why is there a liver club but not a dp club?
  • a few other hidden genes have clubs but Dp still doesn't? I'm not sure how long the liver club has been up, I've been neglectful about entering my horses.

Not trying to complain just curious if anyone knows if a Dp club is in the future? That's be so cool!

I am very forgetful so if I owe you anything but am taking to long please send me a PM. I don't get on to play the game as often as I once did but I am usually most active during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month
  • The liver club IS the dp club, just not called that. Chocolate palominos can be entered into it. I have a few that are, this is just one for example:

    Prices are almost always negotiable.
On the look out for pointed creates
  • Because there is no named description for agouti horses with DP. For red based horses, it shows up as liver or chestnut if they have 3 or 4 darkening genes.

  • It would be SUPER handy if 3 darkening gened browns were labeled "black brown" or "dark brown", bays were "dark bay", etc.

  • A DP club that allowed agouti horses would be so great, since I breed for DP bays and Bay duns, which aren't allowed in the liver club...
All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.
  • @Haltanny I know what makes a liver/chocolate :D been breeding them for a few years now.

does the DP club only allow livers and chocolates?
like everyone else has said it's be nice to have a club for the dp horses that aren't just liver or chocolate.
I have so browns, bays, black, and champagne.
I breed for DP browns and I'm going into DP gold champagne as well as have a lot of regular DP bay.
I guess I just don't understand why DP doesn't have a club (more than just liver and palomino) yet when other hidden genes do

  • To help find out if the Liver Breeder Club only allows Liver and Chocolate, you can use the horse search. Search for horses via the liver breeder club below the tattoo search. ;)
  • I would say it's because liver and Chocolate palomino have names for their colors, and Bay with DP and black with DP don't. But that's just me! :P

  • But then kit promoter, Snowflake and glusta plume are not in the colour name or the list of genes, and they still have clubs. Personally I don't mind as I try to only breed red best horses (chocolate pali and liver). But if it is something you want changing just ask for it as a weekend wish on facebook.

  • Hi, there is a DP club it is called DP Breeders and it is owned by @OndowaStables. Hope this helps :)

This should be a link to it, but I don't know if it will work.

  • @ColourWorld, they meant Breeder's club with leaderboards and all, not buddy chat. :)

I think there's a parallel to be drawn with the KP and GP clubs, in the way that they only take horses with the gene expressing. For instance, one KP allele isn't enough, and two still won't work for the gene or the club if the horse doesn't have two Kit alleles. Same goes for GP: it needs both GP alleles and a bay base.
The club for livers makes sense because that's the only time the gene is really a new color, and thus counted in the name.
  • All the clubs are phenotypes , not genotypes. The only hidden genes registered in the clubs are solid frame and solid tobiano. All the rest must appear a certain way and have all the required genes to belong to a club. There is not a pheno -name for dp bay , black or brown , so therefore no club.

This is the answer. No you will never get a bay DP club.
