Read through the User and Breeding Guide and I can't find info on how horses age on this game. Help?

Horses age one year for every real life month.

To elaborate slightly on Confluence’s response:

Horses age up at rollover into the first of the month. Foals age up to 2 year olds (thus aging 2 years in their first “year” of life).

Horses start to “age out” of the game when they turn 18. So, any horses you own that are currently 17 or over could go to pixel pony heaven at monthly rollover. Horses only die and age up at monthly rollover, regardless of what day they were bred or created.
