Paper question
-
I was just wondering, is it bad if my mare is papered yellow and her filly foal is papered yellow? should I spay the filly or breed from her from a B papered stallion? My stallion is papered C and mare is papered Yellow and a few are coming out Yellow and some are Red, am I doing something wrong? ThanksKingsCrossing home of quality even bred KP, Liver, Ice 1, Ice 8, Ice 14 and Nexus

The yellow ones would most likely be on the threshold of yellow/red, but many people do not allow yellow/c at 2nd gen. If you do like the foal, I suppose you could match her paper level and just treat her as a foundation, breeding her to C papered boys, so you're matching ability rather than generation.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. I would normally spay yellow papered gen2 mares, but if you really like her I'd keep her and breed her to G2 B papered boys to try and bring up the quality of her foals. You likely won't get as many intact but you'll be able to improve quality. I think breeding her to C papered stallion just continues her lower quality, but we all breed for different reasons!Thanked by 1KingsCrossing
