To be liver, a horse must carry at least three sooty genes (sty, +, or DP). Those without sooty would need to have at least one sooty GMT'd on and two DP, or two sooty and one DP. It is entirely possible to make them liver, but would be a large amount of GMT tokens.

The second marelisted would be the best candidate because she already carries two sooty (sty), so you'd only need to add one DP (or two, if you want hom DP).

A horse needs at least 3 darkening genes.It can be a combo of
1 sooty(or S+) and 2 DP gene, horse will be het DP
2 sooty (or S+) and 1 DP gene, horse will be het DP
2 sooty(or S+) and 2 DP genes, horse will be Homo DP
