Merging, changing email?

I am in the process of merging two of my main accounts that have the horses I don’t want to get rid of. One is a basic upgrade and one is a free account. I changed my emails to a more relevant email on both accounts, and deactivated my other free account that was already currently associated with the email. When I go to the IV shop to merge, only my currently deactivated stable shows as a merging option. How do I get my main account to show on the options?

I'm pretty sure the upgraded account has to have the same e mail as the free account it is swallowing up. Did I read your question right?

Your main account will never show up as an option. The one on the list is the one you will merge and destroy.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
