No calf has EVER come out of a bull. ;) It's always out of the female because they literately come out of the mother. Now lots of people use the term incorrectly because "out of" just sounds like the thing you say when you are talking about parentage but it is out of the female for every species. It's not a huge deal, just thought I would do a friendly FYI.
ETA: Here is an 1890s book on cattle breeding. They do written pedigrees in it (instead of modern chart style) you can see the by/out of notation used to mark sires versus dams. Oh Ammit, I didn't mean you were wrong in the slightest, just that the terminology we use ringside/barnside on a daily basis. We're northern folk with multitudes of slang. Including this scenario, which was not to be taken how you took it. In " telling you how it is", I meant in my neck of the woods, which also is another slang saying. Lol.
