Is there a way to tell when you have to use straw(s) that have been bought from other players. For example, someone sets the duration for two years, but you don't know that, so how would you be able to tell if the straw(s) needs to be used during that season before it expires?

Mine never expire. I think unless they have an expiration date on them they will be good always.

On the sell a straw page in the drop down menu it says:

Horse name (how many straws pulled) -(#)y

It only shows the -y if an expiry date has already been previously set otherwise the straws are good indefinitely
