Exceptional create day

I'm not sure if this is the way it is supposed to work. Some creates get the exceptional show horse tattoo, they also get pushed up an era even though the breeding paper is still yellow? I don't usually create exceptional show horses so not sure if that's what they usually do

I did get a couple with any exceptionally perfect tattoo that went up to era 4, which is awesome! But if they also got the exceptional showing tattoo, then they went up to era 3. I don't think that's supposed to happen as they are still equal to an exceptionally perfect, not double boosted?
