I don’t think it’s from his dams side. It’s hard to tell with all the dilutes from his sires sire but I’m inclined to think he might be the carrier. Without a bigger sample size from his dads parents, it’s really difficult to pinpoint.

DP is next to impossible to pick on champagne, in my opinion.

I guess if I put his grandsire to a pile of Dark Chestnuts and Sooty what-have-yous and see what happens it would be a good test. I'll try to keep that in mind when I see the Dark HH come around.
