Did I get this right?

So I think I have managed to somehow stumble upon the Snowflake gene, but I am not entirely sure. I sort of stumbled across Snowflake in some searches of mine and I really like the gene and how it looks on horses that aren't completely white, but I can't tell if this stallion I have has it, his little "flakes" look much smaller than other horses I have found with the gene and are hardly there. If he does have it I will probably pull and offer straws from him as well as jump up his stud fee just a touch (I'm horrible with pricing my horses for what they are worth).

You'd know that a horse is snowflake if you can enter them into the snowflake club. But to me, your boy looks like he has normal varnish, much like this girl here:

Horses have to be appy to varnish, and they progress at different ages. Varnishing can show spots that weren't there before. This girl used to be black when she was younger, but now look at her!

Like Obsidian said, your mare is just normal varnish appy. Snowflake is a bit more dramatic. Like this guy:
