Help me out?

I'm very confused as to how I bred a draft foal when he has no draft in his lines. Tis not a big deal but I would love to know why! ;;)

It's happened to me ALOT recently and it's basically bone density :) The second they creep over 2.5 they become a draft and under 1.5 they become a riding horse!

LJDobbins is correct. There is always a range of potential results with any breeding, and in this case, his dam's bone density of 2.34 helped push his bone density just high enough (2.51) to make him a draft. If he's intact and you plan on breeding him, choosing mares with a bone density closer to 1.5 would make it more likely for him to sire warmblood and not draft foals.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
