How to bid in a public auction on an iPhone?

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to bid on a horse in a public auction on my iPhone 6, but all its letting me do is select a bid from the drop down menu, and won't actually let me place the bid.
Do I have to bid on my laptop, or is there a way to do it on an iPhone?
