    Im just wondrring something as a 6th gen colt i just bred papered A same as his sire, i just wanted to know what to do with him

    I breed so many horses, that I tend to show them for a while, if they pass all the free tests. I see how they do showing. I am upgraded, so if they paper the same as their sire. I compare them next, and then compare them to their brothers. Then decide if I geld them or not. I am still just working on checking 3 year old colts right now. But that is just the way I do it, some other members may have better suggestions for you.

    Myself, if he papered about the same as his sire, I would geld him and add him to my show horses. There is some showing advantage to neutering horses, and I prefer to have my breeding stock be increasing in ability as the generations increase. It can take several generations to get from A to *Star, but unless the sire of this colt is very close to *Star ability, the colt isn't likely to be a candidate for producing one.

    Especially since Ammit revamped the showing system, the more show horses you have the better your weekly income.
