Yes, you would have a free account. Any horses in your primary barns extra stalls (you get a bigger primary barn when you upgrade) barn would still be there, but you won't be able to do much with them until you sell them or move them to a different barn so that you have the same number of horses as you have stalls.

Any straws, eggs, or embryos you have in the freezer will still be there, but you can't use them until you upgrade again.
