Its that time of the month and I am trying to see who should be auctioned or let go another year when i will prob or possibly loose them. I am looking at all my 17 year olds. Last month i think i sold all with under 1000 points. But am i shorting myself? There is just such a gamble. I didnt sell any one year and lost like 60 or 80 horses. I have 267 horses over 16. But of those 245 of them have over 450 points

Take the point totals of your 17+ horses and times them by .75 then take that total and multiply it by 4. That's how much you'd gain from keeping them another month. If its higher than what you'd get at auction, I'd take the gamble and keep them around.

The 16 year olds still have some time. I wouldn't chop of that limb so soon.

Just my two cents. I keep all my horses until they age out.

I also keep my horses until they age out instead of auctioning. But its all personal preference!

I'd sell them because
a) more space for new foals
b) I prefer guaranteed hbs

I only keep old horses that I am particularly fond of.

i kept them all and lost about 10k a day in bonuses
