Very Inconsistent?
-
I just PT tested this spayed filly, and saw that she is Very Inconsistent; I haven't seen this before. Has anybody else noticed this with their horses; is it a new addition by Ammit?

I have never seen that before. That could be very useful if it shows you which horses are so inconsistent that they will cause SBA or BA to geld spay the horse.

When the consistency test was first introduced on HJ1, very inconsistent was a lot more common. Since consistency is partially inherited, with a random factor added, you only get very inconsistent foals if one or both parents are inconsistent (your foal's dam in this case). Before the test, the only way to determine consistency was to examine show performance which could be tricky. A lot more inconsistent horses were used for breeding, so we sometimes got very inconsistent horses (some of which could have a variation +/-10 or more in their weekly show scores).
My observation is that the consistency test reports +/-3 or more as inconsistent, I'm not sure where very inconsistent starts. SBA allows some, but not all inconsistent horses to pass intact. My guess is that it allows +/-3, but neuters anything worse than that. I don't use BA, so I don't know how much less strict it is.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses. I almost exclusively test with SBA, and I try to weed through my horses to alter a portion of the inconsistent ones. So, I guess that I may need to go through them some more. :(
