I really don't know anything about DP but I have this stud and when I bought him his owner's notes said homozygous DP but a while back someone gave me a tip saying that he was heterozygous DP. I changed his owner's notes to heterozygous DP but I was not really sure witch one he actually is so is he hom or het DP? Thanks in advanced :)

I would say he's het DP. His sir is homo so he got one DP from him. The other he would have to get from his dam. His dam is not DP though so he can't get one from her.

Edit - Nevermind. I took a closer look and Orange Love is only het Ssty, so could still have DP. But still agree with Fj that he's probably het because his dam doesn't look DP.

A way to tell for sure would be to breed him to some Chestnut SstySsty mares - if he has any foals that aren't liver chestnut, he's only Het because Hom would throw DP every time.
