    Surprised the heck out of me. I can't wait to see her grown up and I have a beau picked out for her. Most of her babies will be show horses but that's okay.

    And A tall draft at that! 17hh! (Which is only 5'8". Made horse height less impressive when I learned how much a "Hand" is.)

    But height is measured at the withers, so their heads can be much higher than that if they want them to be. It's a huge pain in the butt when a 17 hh horse decides it doesn't want to wear its bridle, halter, fly mask etc. and it puts its head way up in the air and does a lovely giraffe impersonation lol.

    Oh yeah, I know that. I've just seen hundreds of pictures of these huge horses towering over these people and thought, geez that's must be like a 6 ft plus horse, then realized that camera angle and the fact that the pics usually depict a short behind girl, kinda blew my world a little.

    Then I see same huge horses with pretty braids down their manes and face paint and other time consuming decorations and wonder how the heck they got that horse to be still long enough to do that.
