So... the original intent of the snowflake chat was for players with an established line or foundation with the gene. Because of the horses frequently listed for breeding and sale are intended to have the same restrictions I think it's fair to keep it this way.

I'm looking for someone to help mod (as I'm admittedly too busy to do a proper job right now), and some input about its current status. Those of you that manage similar chats for other genes - do you leave them open for requests, or add by pm only? I'll follow whatever the general trend here is. For now, I suppose anyone interested sending proof of their stock is the simplest? I just want to keep it as fair as possible (and enlist some help with response time on adds, atleast for the summer).

I would change your group name and side bar info to reflect that it is a limited group for foundation owners who keep restricted lines only. Someone else can make a public group for those who want to share their lines with anyone.

@Ammit are people only allowed to own snowflake horses if they have a snowflake foundation? I have several snowflake horses but I did not buy the gene from you when it was released I hope I'm not breaking any rules :(

@StarfireAcres Snowflake isn't a restricted gene, you can buy it freely from other players. It also randomly generates in the game but having the two copies of it, and also the app genes is stupidly rare. I think the best way to think of it is like the GP gene, it's not restricted but people have invested money into it and want to keep it in house.

@Denalidom I would be happy to help mod if you have not found anyone yet. I was one of the first players to actually buy the gene when it first came out so I completely understand breeders keeping the gene in house or only selling to players who have an established herd. Personally mine stay strictly in house.
