Advice about breeding advice
-
(This is very much a new person question, so bear with)
I just bred the following little dude out of one of my show mares, with the aim of getting another show pony (purchased both parents, so the pedigree is a tad top heavy so doesn't really fit in with my plans).
He papered A (sire is A, dam is Red) - and he was gelded by breeding advice. Does this essentially mean he's just not quite as good as his sire? (Does this also mean his sire is a high A?) He's not really worth reversing the gelding, but I've only been here a few weeks so not sure if what I think is even right!

So generally an A stallion and a Blue mare are considered a more equivalent pairing than A/Red. I'm guessing your colt isn't as high an A as his dad, but his dad may be a Mid A and the colt a low A.Thanked by 1SummertreeFarms
