I have this a papered 2nd gen.. because hes just a bay and not flashy considoring selling him.. how much would people think he's worth?

I would 100% keep... but that's just me. I would probably sell for like 8k

Even if you don't think he'd get a lot of use in your barn, I would keep him as a benchmark for your comparison testing (no Bs kept unless they are AGA him) and to use to breed future broodmares. If you don't want him, I would happily pick him up for 10k to use to build up my own broodmare herd for the future.

If you have a spare GMT you could also add his dam's splash onto him if you want to keep him but you'd like him to be a bit flashier. All genes cost 1 GMT for lined horses even if they cost a lot more than that for foundation horses, excluding certain limited edition/very rare genes (and Brindle) that can't be GMTd at all.

I was planning on keeping him and breeding him to flashy mares but ive since bought an A papered kp colt so figured i wouldnt use him.. i would geld and add him to my show barn but figured someone else may get more use out of him but didnt want someone buying him just for a quick turnover

If you don't need another 2G A papered colt but you do need some more 2G Blue papered mares what about changing this colt into a mare? Not sure if that'd be worth the cost, depends on how much you like this specific horse.
