It stinks taking risks in the game lol I spent $112,000 on eggs/straws and implanting the embryos just to come up with 2 show ponies.
I think maybe this is a bit too advanced for me at this point in the game lol meh, at least they're pretty show ponies :D -
I would agree that until your stable is well established and your horses are earning you a large daily showing bonus, buying expensive eggs and straws and going the embryo implantation route can be prohibitively expensive.
It takes a lot of patience, but patience is what this game is all about. I'm glad your show ponies are pretty, and they will eventually start pulling in the hajibucks after they've matured to a higher showing level.
Good luck with them.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Yeah, all the fancy embryo stuff is nice, but not needed to enjoy the game. Save your HBs, and breed inexpensively. I can't remember the last time I pulled an egg. Must have been years ago, actual years. Probably before the pastures came out. I rarely breed outside of pastures now. Cheaper and the mares get a boost? Why breed any other way! Save your HB's for barns to put all the pretty ponies you are breeding in the pastures into.

I've been mostly too scared to try any of the embryo stuff! Occasionally I'll use straws but so far I've only had one successful horse pass testing and compare aga a bench mark horse. I think I've used about, 50-60 straws so far? I imagine I would probably have an even worse fail rate if I spent even more money on it haha
