    The higher the DHH rank, the fewer horses you can make with it, the fewer shares can be used by other players, and the smaller your share bonus of extra horse creates for each share will be.

    Most of the various ranks are color based, the higher the rank the more rare the color on a new create. There are a few that are ability based. They are pretty much as described:
    Top Notch Producers
    Perfect Foundations
    Great Show Horses
    Exceptional Producers
    etc.

    Here's a link that tells you about all of the different Rank Specials. I'd love to have this list pinned/stickied in the Herd Helper section of the forum. :D I end up checking it whenever I see an unpapered RS horse because I always forget which ones give you exceptional horses and which ones just give perfect foundation level horses.
