I'm pretty sure that they are only considered G2 is they are even..

I wish I had room in my barn, I am a sucker for sooty brown. :)

so what are they if their father is an even 3g and their mother is say a g1?

In your example, KingsCrossing, I would call them "uneven 2G." I prefer to reference the lowest of generations when labeling an uneven pedigree.
