Ammit puts the genes up for sale periodically. Some of them you can only buy with real money. I know she is pondering a spring sale in the near future. That might be an opportunity to get into one of the exclusive chat rooms/clubs.

Those players that fork over the big bucks for those genes get to enjoy the benefits of having exclusive rights to them. In the past there have been people who get the fancy new genes and breed every piece of junk mare in the game to get a special colored foal, and the value of the gene is shot. It happened with Nexus, and some of the Ice genes. It's starting to happen with Satin. I am personally worried that it is happening with Liver. Some people just want to be able to brag about owning one, not taking into account that it couldn't make it around the show ring without falling on its nose!
