Horses passing out of the game
-
Do you get any money when your Horses pass out of the game, or would you be better off putting them in the auction?
-
You do not get any money when a horse passes away. I don't bother auctioning mine that might pass, but you could if you wanted. There's no guarantee a horse will pass away in a given year so you may be auctioning a horse that would have lived a few more years.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

My Cricket Pitch is now 20 years old. I am glad that he is around for another season.

I also don't auction mine. Some of mine live to be in their mid 20's before they pass out of the game. Also it would take me too long to auction them all. I had 309 pass out of the game this month. Including some *Star and *Gold papered favorites.Thanked by 1Olio900

I've never auctioned mine either. But I know a few players do!
If you want the money from auctioning them then I would say go ahead. I would also probably alter them first if theyre special or from an in house line etc .Thanked by 1Olio900 -
How old is to old for a horse to breed? Cricket is 20 this month and I was wondering if I could use him?
-
20 is the cutoff. If you can set a stud fee for him then he is still breedable. (If you notice a horse that is over 20 and still breeding, then you should probably report it. If you intentionally continue to breed to a horse that you KNOW is too old, you might be at risk of losing all those foals.)Thanked by 1Olio900

I havent tried but my plan is to use him and a RS for my first round of foundation mares.
