Tiny cobs
-
So I got interested in possibly breeding shetland look-a-likes and decided to do a small horse search for tiny cobs, starting at the max height of a shetland (10hh). However, I think I may have broke the search engine because it brought up drafts as well as all the cobs.
So I was wondering, how small are your guys cobs? Can they get from between 7hh and 10hh? Would love to see photos too of course!Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable.

It looks like the shortest cobs out there at the moment are 12.2hh

I would love to see some Shetland types though! I'd be up for trying to start a mini line there for sure. -
After I get my show barn (so a couple of weeks) I'll be up for trying to make some shetlands~! I don't know what would be best though - using foundations I make or hunting for them through the forum. I'll also need to research colour, which wouldn't be too hard for me.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

We have a shetland in real life. She belongs to my youngest son. She is 10 2 hands. She is palomino in color.

I know Ammit set a minimum height so we don't start breeding horses that are unethical for riding in show jump courses. The little guys are cute. So far the shortest I've seen is 12h and tallest is 18h. Does not mean those are the limits though. Maybe those are the numbers to beat. All into high quality black based primitive duns and bootstraps.

I'm trying to breed tiny ponies as well. 12h is the smallest I've got and seems to be the limit, but I'm going to keep trying! :)
