    Well, if Gelding Advice snipped him, that means that he would have been significantly worse than his sire at breeding, and if he was the best in the pasture, it would be a good idea to geld all the colts. If your pasture stallion is an exceptional producer and your mares are normal creates it may be difficult to get an intact colt. It's not impossible, but you may have to try longer before it happens.

    How long were your mares in the pasture? If it was less than 30 days, then they would not have their full pasture "bonus" which cuts off the lower end of a mare's potential contribution to her foal's abilities. You can leave the mares in pasture until next month and try again.

    It will be harder to get an intact colt from him, but intact colts will be generally better quality than general intact colts from other stallions. Using pasture bonus and trying to get the best breeding foundation mares will improve your odds drastically. Sorry, I should have thought to tell you about this when I sold him to you.
