Looking at his line he has it on the 3rd generation? My question is is he also heterzygous?

There's a 3/4 chance he is, but you won't know without test breeding him

Hard to tell there is no testing available for KP. Using a simple Punnett Square these are his odds.
25% chance he has nothing, 50% he's het, 25% he is hom. There is a chance that his is hom KP but he is missing a second Kit gene that would allow the KP to be present.
