Satin questions

How often does satin come up?
Do they sell for more than average?
I just bred my first satin foal, yipee :D -
Work on breeding for quality first and foremost. Quality always has value. High quality horses with satin will sell for a bit more than other high quality horses. Low quality satin isn't worth anymore than any other horse in the public auction. (Because the people rich enough to afford expensive horses will only buy good quality ones.)

Your gelding is worth around 3k because of his PT score. Since he is altered his color does not add to his value. He should be a GREAT show horse for you though. Satin is one of the most expensive genes to GMT, but it's always available. At 40 tokens a copy it's no wonder they're so rare - a quick glance at the breeders clubs shows that there are only two foundations with it registered. Congrats on breeding one! The value of your foal depends almost entirely on its quality and pedigree.

I just used the search to take a look because I knew of at least 3 foundations with satin there are 15 (2 of which are Ammits) but only 5 are homozygous :)

Thanks guys, at the moment I'm purely focusing on breeding show ponies to boost my daily bonus so most of my horses are pretty avergae but happy I got a cool colour :)
